Perfect Açaí Bowls

SERVING SIZE: 2 DIFFICULTY LEVEL: BEGINNER

PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES COOK TIME: 5 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 packets of acai

  • ½ cup milk of choice

  • 2 frozen banana

  • ½ cup of ice cubes

  • 1 cup of frozen berries

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:

  • Protein powder

  • Maca Powder

  • Cacao powder

TOPPINGS:

  • Sliced Bananas

  • Fresh fruit

  • Chia seeds

  • Hemp seeds

  • Granola

  • Cacao nibs

  • Almond butter

  • Shredded Coconut

  • Goji Berries

  • Nut butter of choice

 

PREP:

  1. Place your serving bowl in the freezer 10-15 minutes before making your acai bowl.

  2. Add ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. I

  3. If the mixture is too thick and not blending, add more milk, 1 tbs at a time. The goal is to blend into frozen paste verse a liquid like a smoothie.

COOK:

  1. After blending, place contents in the chilled bowl and add your toppings.

  2. If adding a nut butter as a topping, mix nut butter with coconut oil to thin out the butter so it is easier to sprinkle on. I use a 4:1 (nut butter to coconut oil) ratio.
