Basil-Parmesan Gnocchi

Basil-Parmesan Gnocchi is a house favorite. You can make this recipe using the Homemade Gnocchi Recipe, or your favorite pre-made gnocchi. We also usually eat this dish with Pan-Seared Scallops and Balsamic Broccoli.

SERVING SIZE: 2 DIFFICULTY LEVEL: BEGINNER

PREP TIME: 15 MINUTES COOK TIME: 15 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 pack of Gnocchi - Advanced homemade version (Great for a date night activity), click here.

  2. 6 tbs of butter 

  3. ⅓ cup basil

  4. 1 tsp salt

  5. 2 tsp black pepper

  6. 2 cloves of garlic

  7. ½ tsp red pepper flakes

  8. ½ cup parmesan cheese

  9. 1 cup cherry tomatoes 

 

PREP:

  1. Mince garlic

  2. Cut cherry tomatoes in half.

  3. Fully cook gnocci according to package instructions, or instructions listed homemade gnocchi recipe.


COOK:

  1. In a sauté pan over medium heat, add butter and melt.

  2. Finely chop garlic and sauté in butter for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant.

  3. Cut cherry tomatoes in half and add to the pan, cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until soft.

  4. Add-in the cooked and drained gnocchi to the pan, sauté for another 3-5 minutes stirring frequently to keep from sticking to the bottom.

  5. Add in remaining ingredients, stir until combined and serve.

PREPARE YOUR DISH FOR DATE NIGHT

  1. Basil-Parmesan Gnocchi is a delicious dish, but often looks like (very tasty) potato lumps when it is cooked correctly.

  2. Plate it with colorful vegetables or side dishes. Our favorite addition is our balsamic broccoli recipe.
